Master Chief Jon “Gabe” Miller

Master Chief Gabe Miller enlisted in the Navy in May 1994 and graduated basic training at Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, Illinois.

He completed follow-on training at Basic Enlisted Submarine School and Radioman 'A' School in Groton, Connecticut. Miller is a graduate of the Senior Enlisted Academy Class 150 and the Command Master Chief (CMC)/Chief of the Boat Course.

His sea duty assignments include USS Nevada (SSBN 733) (Blue), USS Jimmy Carter (SSN 23), USS Maine (SSBN 741) (Blue) and most recently, chief of the boat onboard USS Michigan (SSGN 727) (Gold).

Miller’s shore tours include duty as an enlisted and officer recruiter and as the submarine special projects detailer. He also served as the CMC for Commander, Submarine Squadron 17 and most recently as the CMC for Commander, Submarine Group Nine.

He assumed duties as CMC for Strategic Systems Programs, Washington, D.C., on March 2, 2022.

Miller is the recipient of four Meritorious Service Medals, two Navy Commendation Medals and holds various other personal, unit, and campaign awards.
