SSP's Small Business Program Vision

To establish a network of SSP partnerships strengthened by a dedication to our mission, powered by innovative small businesses.

Delivering Credible Sea-Based Deterrent Missile Systems

Strategic Systems Programs has more than 60-years of history providing credible sea-based deterrent missile systems. Our deterrent systems, which helped our Nation win the Cold War, remain a key factor in deterring nuclear war and conventional conflicts in the midst of a challenging global environment. As we seek to advance this vital deterrent mission, we are aware that delivery of high-quality and well-supported systems to the fleet on time and within budget is no longer sufficient. In the current environment and in the foreseeable future, it is necessary to better this performance to achieve more with greater efficiency and to free resources to address emergent needs.

Doing Business with SSP

The focus of SSP's Small Business Program centers around three major lines of effort:

1. Building Partnerships in the Acquisition process
2. Optimizing Communications and
3. Improving Small Business Participation at the Prime and Subcontractor level.

The major link between these three efforts is ensuring maximum communication to industry; specifically, on upcoming requirements and our mission. SSP's Small business focus, in sync with the Department of the Navy's Office of Small Business priorities, remains steadfast in empowering small businesses with unparalleled access to people, resources, and contracts.

SSP's Long Range Acquisition Estimate (LRAE) is provided below in accordance with United States Code Title 15, Section 637, (A) (12) (C). The LRAE acts as an aid for advanced acquisition planning for vendors to gain a better understanding of the SSP requirements.
